Wood Therapy
What to Do
During a wood therapy session, a trained therapist will use various wooden instruments—such as rollers, cups, and sticks—to massage different parts of the body. The therapist will typically start with the legs and work upward, focusing on areas where cellulite or tension is present. The movements are rhythmic and can be adjusted in pressure based on individual comfort levels.
Treatment Sessions
A typical wood therapy treatment lasts between 30 minutes to 1 hour. It is recommended to have a series of sessions for optimal results, usually ranging from 3 to 10 sessions, depending on the individual’s goals. Treatments can be scheduled once a week or bi-weekly for best results.
Recovery
Post-treatment, clients may experience mild soreness, similar to that of a workout. It’s important to stay hydrated and follow any aftercare instructions from the therapist, such as avoiding heavy meals or exercise for the remainder of the day. Most people can return to their regular activities immediately after a session. For lasting effects, combining wood therapy with a healthy diet and regular exercise is advisable.
